DNV is organizing a 1-day Failure Analysis Tutorial for its clients. The tutorial will be offered twice: on July 10 and July 11, 2007, at the DNV Houston Office. We invite engineers, technicians, and managers involved with failure investigations to attend. The presenters will be John Beavers - Head of CCTechnologies' Failure Analysis department and Michiel Brongers - Sr. Project Manager in the Materials Testing group. The program will consist of: review of different failure modes, general steps of failure analysis, action plan [be ready when a failure occurs], root cause analysis, metallurgical examinations, and laboratory evaluations. Throughout, examples from actual failure investigations will illustrate these topics.
