Advanced Metal Dusting Resistant Alloy
The project objective is to evaluate on a larger scale an advanced metal dusting resistant alloy developed at Argonne National Laboratories. Larger scale development of a process to make the alloy is not currently included in the MTI project at ANL.
The first phase of the project will be to melt and roll test the ANL alloy and determine the commercial feasibility of producing this alloy on a larger scale. The second phase will be to conduct metal dusting tests comparing this
material with other standard alloys.
